Plush Dentistry

Cosmetic Dentistry at Plush is designed to offer avenues to our patients to enhance their smiles while making sure we take care of their overall dental health first. Usually cosmetic treatments are elective procedures undertaken after achieving stable oral health through customized treatment programs for our patients.

For your aesthetic needs we go through a detailed consult to understand your concerns and needs and then determine if Plush Dentistry is the best fit for you. If we feel we need to collaborate with specialists for your care, we don't shy away from that. We encourage it.

Teeth Whitening - Plush Dentistry

Dental whitening is one of the most effective and easiest ways to enhance your smile. There are various ways to whiten your teeth primarily the two main methods are In-Office Whitening Treatments and Home Whitening Kits.

We offer both whitening modalities at Plush Dentistry. In office whitening will definitely get your teeth whiter in a shorter duration of time. We would still recommend a home whitening regimen after that to maintain your results.

Plush Dentistry does not advocate one approach over the other, but in our experience patients can maintain a whiter, healthier smile by following a home whitening regimen. At plush we offer 2 home whitening options to achieve this. Our simplest option includes Custom Whitening trays that are made for you during your first visit—included is an accompanying whitening gel for use at home. For optimum results, wear 3-4 times per week for 30-45 minutes.

Ceramic Veneers

Veneers are a way to transform your smile completely with the help of thin shells of porcelain that cover your teeth to correct any imperfections and at the same time enhance your smile.

A veneer is usually an elective procedure, which involves minimal reduction of existing tooth structure to correct the shape/contour and color of your teeth. At Plush Dentistry we start the process by understanding your goals and expectations. The procedure is usually completed in 5 visits. The first visit involves taking pictures and diagnostic models, which will help us in designing the perfect smile, which not only looks good but is functional. This information is then sent to the lab where an expert ceramist will complete a wax up of your teeth.

  • SECOND VISIT - We discuss the wax up with you and proceed by minimally shaping your teeth. Temporary veneers are then made from the wax up and adjusted in your mouth. We then allow you to test  your smile and return to our office in one week with feedback on your smile and if you desire any esthetic changes.
  • THIRD VISIT - We refine and finalize our veneer preps at this visit and take a final impression that is sent to the lab.
  • FOURTH VISIT - Veneers are seated at this visit after testing for esthetics and function.
  • FIFTH VISIT - We like to do a follow up visit at 1-2 weeks post cementation to make any minor adjustments to your veneers and fine tune your smile.

Cosmetic bonding

Minor chips on teeth and small imperfections, discoloration or gaps can be easily fixed by using composite resins. Bonding is a technique sensitive process but can have dramatic results on a patient's smile. Excellent technique and expertise is required to achieve stunning results with bonding. At Plush Dentistry we pride ourselves in delivering the best outcome by layering composite on your teeth to design the perfect smile.

Bonding needs to be maintained with excellent home care, and one needs to be careful not to subject bonded teeth to excessive force, which may result in fracture of the composite. At Plush Dentistry we will discuss with you if cosmetic bonding is the right option for your smile.

Ceramic crowns

With the enhancement of technology and the availability of better materials, metal-based crowns are a thing of the past. With today’s newer ceramics one can achieve excellent aesthetic outcomes while not compromising on strength and longevity of the crowns.

Full  porcelain crowns are a great choice for a variety of clinical scenarios. A crown is needed when there is extensive structural damage to your tooth. A crown covers the tooth all around and restores the tooth in form and function all while maintaining excellent aesthetic outcomes.

This is achieved usually in 2 visits, with the first visit involving the preparation of your tooth and temporization with a temporary crown. A digital impression is taken and sent to the lab to fabricate a restoration, which is seated at the second visit.
